One tablet of black chocolate a day can help manage stress. According to a study published in the online edition of the ' ournal of Proteome Research' and conducted by German and Swiss researchers, about 40 grams of this delicious dish can keep stress under control.

They found that black chocolate for two weeks reduced levels of stress hormones in people with high anxiety. In addition, black chocolate, which is rich in a number of bioactive compounds also partially corrects imbalances in the body other stress-related, facilitating relief naturally.

The research, led by Dr. Sunil Kochhar, comes amid growing scientific evidence that antioxidants and other beneficial substances in dark chocolate would decrease the risk factors of heart disease and other ailments.

In developing the study included 30 people who were classified as high or low anxiety and that measured levels of stress hormones in blood and urine samples collected several times a day in volunteers. Participants consumed 20 grams of dark chocolate in the morning and the same amount again in the afternoon.

The results showed a reduction in stress hormones and other biochemical indicators related to the condition, after two weeks of eating this delicious chocolate.
